About The Role

We’re looking for a creative and driven Associate Producer to join our video production team, with a strong focus on sports-based content. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, blending post-production editing with on-location field production. A passion for sports and storytelling is a must! You’ll work out of our Downingtown, PA studio and collaborate closely with Upside staff & Upside clients to deliver compelling content. This is a full time salaried position.


Responsibilities

The Associate Producer Role for Upside Films will include a variety of tasks ranging from post-production editing, on-location camera work, on-location production assistant work, pre-production research/ideation, pre-production & production organization and management of project files, studio equipment inventory & management, assigned administrative or sales prospecting tasks, and other duties as assigned to aid in the production & post-production process. This person needs to possess high-attention to detail and be a self-manager. With provided training, the candidate should also be able to handle project management tasks & organization with ease.


The candidate will be first and foremost responsible for editing high-quality video content using Adobe Premiere that may range from interviews and feature stories to hype videos and more! Editing will likely be the bulk of this role. The role will handle assembly edits and grow to intermediate edits then polished edits with training. We also would look for the candidate to be able to manage finishing services and communicate with our vendors for completion and project management as assigned. 


Participation in field production as assigned is required and the role will range from production assistant, camera operator to eventually an opportunity in producing and/or directing if desired. This role will assist with on-set logistics and working with the team to capture all needs for the client as assigned. 


Related Experience & Skills

  • Experience working in sports media or a strong interest in sports media
  • 3+ years of experience editing in Adobe Premiere/Adobe creative suite
  • 3+ years of field production/shooting experience
  • (College, internship, or freelance work counts)
  • Understanding of video storytelling, pacing, and visual composition
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Comfortable working on-site in a studio and in field environments
  • Ability to take feedback, direction, and eagerness to learn & adapt to company policies


Additional Requirements

  • Must be local or willing to relocate to Downingtown, PA or the greater Philadelphia general area
  • Available for full-time, on-site work (this is not a remote role)
