Business Development Executive – Occupational Health
Location: WorkFit Medical - Albany location
Reporting To: Director of Business Development
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive with experience in occupational health services to drive new business growth and expand existing client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of workplace health solutions, excellent relationship-building skills, and proven experience using a CRM system to manage sales activities and pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the occupational health market
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers, HR teams, health & safety managers, and key decision-makers
- Promote and sell occupational health services, including (but not limited to) health surveillance, management referrals, wellbeing services, and fitness-for-work assessments
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through proposal, negotiation, and contract closure
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activity, leads, and opportunities within the CRM system
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure solutions align with client requirements
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
- Meet or exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to Director of Business Development
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a business development or sales role, ideally within occupational health, healthcare, or related services
- Strong understanding of occupational health services and employer compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to use CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar) to manage pipelines and reporting
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build long-term client relationships and work consultatively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
Desirable:
- Existing network within HR, health & safety, fire and municipalities, or occupational health sectors
- Experience working with SMEs and/or large corporate clients
- Knowledge of relevant occupational health legislation and standards
