Business Development Executive – Occupational Health

Location: WorkFit Medical - Albany location

Reporting To: Director of Business Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive with experience in occupational health services to drive new business growth and expand existing client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of workplace health solutions, excellent relationship-building skills, and proven experience using a CRM system to manage sales activities and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the occupational health market
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers, HR teams, health & safety managers, and key decision-makers
  • Promote and sell occupational health services, including (but not limited to) health surveillance, management referrals, wellbeing services, and fitness-for-work assessments
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through proposal, negotiation, and contract closure
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activity, leads, and opportunities within the CRM system
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure solutions align with client requirements
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
  • Meet or exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to Director of Business Development

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a business development or sales role, ideally within occupational health, healthcare, or related services
  • Strong understanding of occupational health services and employer compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to use CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar) to manage pipelines and reporting
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build long-term client relationships and work consultatively
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently

Desirable:

  • Existing network within HR, health & safety, fire and municipalities, or occupational health sectors
  • Experience working with SMEs and/or large corporate clients
  • Knowledge of relevant occupational health legislation and standards
