
Outside Machinist

Requirements:Minimum 4+ years of commercial or naval experience as a First-Class MachinistFamiliarity with OSHA regulations in shipbuildingAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagramsWorking knowledge of shipbuilding terminology and ship systemsExperience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, rulers, etc.)Responsibilities:Install and align main engines, propulsion systems, and shipboard machineryPerform valve overhaul and maintenance (steam and WOG valves)Install and repair pumps, motors, compressors, and hydraulic componentsPerform hydrostatic testing, lube oil flushing, and system cleanliness proceduresInstall heat exchangers, condensers, turbines, and diesel enginesPerform shafting, bearing work, and liner fittingInstall shipboard equipment including anchor windlass, winches, cranes, and elevatorsAssist with boiler operations, distilling plant testing, and AC/refrigeration systemsOperate lathe, boring bar, portable milling machine, and drill equipmentPerform drilling, tapping, flange makeup, and alignment proceduresUse lapping and blue-checking toolsMast be a US citizen Job Type: Full-timePay: $35.00 Per hour""$120 Perdiem" NON LOCAL ONLY$$$ "HIRE BONUS"$$$Ameri-Force BenefitsAs part of the Ameri-Force team, a recognized ESOP company, you have a personal stake in the collective success of the organization, fostering a collaborative and rewarding work environment.
