Freelance Culinary Assistant (Digital Media Content)

Key Responsibilities
Cook and bake a wide variety of recipes on set, ensuring consistency and quality for each production.
Collaborate with producers to create, test, and refine recipes that align with the channel’s vision.
Build shopping lists, prep ingredients, and organize kitchen needs in advance of shoots.
Style and plate dishes for on-camera presentation, capturing visually appealing “food beauty” shots.
Work closely with producers and kitchen crew to ensure smooth execution of assigned work.
Manage the culinary budget, track expenses, and reconcile receipts accurately.
Stay on schedule and maintain composure in a high-pressure production environment.
Balance multiple projects at once, while delivering consistent results.
Requirements
1+ years of professional cooking or baking experience; culinary school training a plus.
Strong recipe execution skills, with the ability to adapt and troubleshoot under time constraints.
Experience with food styling and plating for photo/video production preferred.
Excellent organizational skills to manage prep, ingredient sourcing, and production timelines.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of kitchen safety, food handling, and sanitation standards.
Flexible, resourceful, and able to remain calm under pressure.
Rate: $275 - $325 / Day
