Summary At Harcros Chemicals Inc., an employee-owned company with a rich legacy in specialty chemical manufacturing and distribution, we're continuously expanding. With 2 manufacturing plants and 27 distribution facilities across 20 states, we're seeking a dedicated Customer Service Rep professional to join our team to assist with opportunities. Reporting to the Office Manager, this role will be responsible for being the first line of contact for Harcros Chemicals. This may include email, mail, telephone, or in person by internal and external customers.

Powder Springs, GA location.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties

Handle a large volume of emails, phone calls and sales order processing.

Serve as the liaison between customers and internal & external associates.

Process orders for material or merchandise received from customers.

Interact with customers & suppliers via email, phone call, and web portal.

Participate in general office duties such as filing, ordering office supplies, sorting and delivering mail.

Enter orders into computer, check inventory levels, generate shipping papers, and check customer credit.

Maintain constant communication with customers regarding their order status.

Act as point of contact for external & internal departments such as customers, suppliers, warehouse, shipping & freight carriers.

Check orders for accuracy, gather and attach required additional documentation.

Prepare & process invoices, issue credit memos, and assist Credit Dept. by checking customer payment status.

Process vendor invoices, freight bills, product returns, freight claims, and corrected billings.

Maintain signature file of additional forms for customer order release.

Schedule production of product as necessary.

Coordinate shipments to other branch facilities and customers.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school Diploma or General Education Degree.

1-3 years of related experience and/or training.

CRM experience preferred.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Required Skills We Are Looking For

Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence, and effective communication skills for addressing groups of customers or employees.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Proficient in calculating figures and amounts, such as discounts and percentages, and applying basic algebra.

Demonstrated ability to effectively use Office 365 applications.

Occasional standing, walking, and sitting.

Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment
