Roof Truss Builder Job Profile JP01133

Position Summary The Roof Truss Builder’s primary responsibility is to build roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities.

Duties / Responsibilities

Builder must be able to read a cut sheet and blueprint to build trusses that meet the approved standards.

Check parts on assigned table/press to ensure proper set up of jig, cord, parts, and nails according to individual truss blueprint.

Ensure proper nail placement, overhang and king post on every unit produced.

Be able to meet production requirements in a timely manner while also ensuring the quality of each truss.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience.

Must have the ability to work well with a partner.

Must have a passion for quality and be naturally attentive to details.

Must be reliable and able to work at an efficient pace.

Demonstrates honesty and integrity. Has a strong work ethic. Displays a great attitude and models teamwork.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift and / or carry over 50 lbs.

Must be able to effectively communicate and exchange information with others.

Work is primarily completed by standing or walking and may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
