  • Identify top-selling products and partner with production to ensure inventory is positioned to capture every dollar.
  • Stay plugged into market trends, competitor actions, and overall business conditions to keep your accounts ahead of the curve.
  • Regularly analyze sales performance, inventory, and profitability to maximize growth and margin.
  • Collaborate closely with design and production teams so line assortments hit the sweet spot for your buyers.
  • Represent the brand at Market Weeks in New York and at key trade shows in New York and Las Vegas.
  • Maintain detailed order backlogs and shipping information to keep key accounts informed and confident.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of strategic wholesale sales experience, specifically in apparel, accessories, footwear, or handbags.
  • Proven experience selling to major retailers, chain stores, e-commerce platforms, and specialty retailers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Existing relationships with key domestic and international retailers.
  • Strong knowledge of merchandising, wholesale sales, marketing, and financial planning in the fashion/accessories space.
  • Leadership experience with direct team management is a plus.

Required Skills

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with sales and inventory data.
  • Ability to turn numbers into strategy and action, maximizing every sales opportunity.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and the competitive landscape in apparel/accessories.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; you can confidently lead buyer meetings and presentations.
  • Relationship builder who collaborates seamlessly across internal teams and with external partners.
  • Exceptional multitasking, time management, and organizational skills—especially around market weeks and key deliveries.
  • Creative, strategic thinker who enjoys solving problems and finding new angles to grow business.
  • Willingness to travel for trade shows, sales meetings, and market appointments.

Preferred Skills

This role is perfect for someone who loves the buzz of fashion, the thrill of closing big deals, and the satisfaction of seeing product you championed on the shelves of major retailers. If you have the apparel, accessories, or handbags background and a passion for building major accounts, we’d love to hear your story.
