This Key Account Manager role a newly developed position due to company growth.


Job Description:


  • The Key Account Manager will oversee Key Naval and Shipbuilding / Defense accounts in the Eastern New England region and be focused on account growth and expansion.
  • In addition to account growth, the KAM will be focused on Business Development efforts of both products and engineering/manufacturing services.
  • This is a high-impact, customer-facing role that combines business development, technical consultative selling, and long-term account growth.


Requirements:


  • 5-10 years of technical/industrial B2B sales experience with a previous Naval or Shipyard or Defense Contractor experience
  • Experience and understanding of NAVSEA / shipyard environments
  • Ideal candidates will be a relationship-based seller who can navigate multiple decision makers and work through contracting and bidding processes to win business.


Location: This is a remote field-based sales opportunity where ideal candidates will be based in the Portland, ME area, with the ability to travel to Bath, ME and Portsmouth, NH regularly. Expected to be on-site with Key Accounts 75% of the time.
