Position Summary:

The Director, Operational Effectiveness is responsible for leading enterprise-wide initiatives that improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall business performance. This role partners across functions to analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies, implement scalable solutions, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility and the ability to pivot quickly.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and data-driven leader with deep experience in Lean, Six Sigma, process redesign, and operational transformation.

Responsibilities:

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence Evaluate current business processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Design and implement standardized processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

Data Analysis & Performance Management Establish and monitor KPIs such as cycle time, cost per unit, and productivity. Analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Cost Reduction & Resource Optimization Reduce waste and eliminate non-value-added activities. Optimize labor, materials, and time utilization.

Technology & Automation Implement automation and technology solutions to streamline operations. Support digital transformation initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and HR. Lead change management and drive adoption of improvements.

Project & Program Management Lead multiple initiatives from concept to execution. Manage timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. Lean Six Sigma certification preferred. 8+ years of relevant experience with leadership responsibility.

Required Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with BI and Netsuite is a plus. Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement. Strategic thinking and communication skills. Personal accountability for delivering on commitments. Project management capabilities.
