Environmental Planning Director (CEQA/NEPA)
An exceptional opportunity for a Environmental Planning Director with a strong focus on
CEQA/NEPA planning and compliance ,
business development , and
project delivery . This position requires a strategic thinker eager to help expand regional presence in the
Los Angeles market .
Responsibilities Direct and oversee preparation of
Initial Studies ,
EIRs , and joint
CEQA/NEPA
documents. Lead
business development
efforts within Southern California agencies and clients (LA as a main point). Coordinate across internal teams and regional offices on project execution, proposals, and client engagement. Attend local meetings, stakeholder events, and public hearings (limited travel within Los Angeles County).
Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Planning, Ecology, or related field (required). 15+ years of environmental planning experience preferred (open to less if qualifications are outstanding). Existing client relationships highly preferred. Excellent written, oral, and analytical communication skills. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments. Valid driver’s license and reliable local transportation.
