Overview We are partnering with a leading industrial construction and energy solutions organization to hire a

Site Project Director

to lead large-scale EPC and heavy industrial construction projects. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for site-level execution across complex builds, including boiler systems, steam generation, and multidisciplinary construction scopes. The position will begin remotely during early project phases and transition to an on-site leadership role in the Midwest as the project ramps. This is a true

“builder” opportunity —ideal for a leader who thrives in ambiguity and is excited to stand up and operationalize a new business line from the ground up. You will have full ownership of execution strategy, team development, and site operations, serving as the senior-most leader on-site.

Key Responsibilities Lead overall site execution strategy, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management Direct and develop Site Project Managers and field teams to ensure alignment across all project phases Oversee safety programs and quality control processes, ensuring full regulatory compliance Manage procurement strategy, subcontractor selection, and contract administration Coordinate daily field operations across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and piping scopes Serve as the primary client-facing leader, managing stakeholder communication and expectations Drive commissioning, testing, and final project turnover to ensure successful project delivery Establish processes, workflows, and operational structure for a growing business line

Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in construction project management within heavy industrial, utility, or power generation environments Proven track record leading large-scale EPC or industrial construction projects from preconstruction through turnover Strong expertise in site execution, including safety, quality, cost, and schedule management Experience leading and developing Project Managers and field personnel Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, or startup-like environments Experience with contract management, procurement strategy, and subcontractor oversight Knowledge of permitting processes, regulatory compliance, and construction safety standards

Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with boiler systems, steam generation, or related equipment Background in boilermaking or closely related trades Experience building new processes, workflows, or business lines Familiarity with Primavera or similar project scheduling tools Knowledge of ASME, NFPA, and welding procedures Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
