About the Role
This position requires excellent leadership skills along with the ability to monitor and report the activities of all Import Brokerage compliance in the US, including all Participating Government Agencies involved in regulating the importation of freight.
Responsibilities
Setting policies, procedures and direction for a compliant Import Customs regulatory compliance program. Monitoring and enforcing compliance policy guidelines for reasonable care and paperless recordkeeping. Leading and managing client compliance needs. Providing Compliance presentations both externally and internally. Developing a strong, knowledgeable, pro-active team environment with all LUS managers. Managing all import brokerage compliance programs at LUS and providing regulatory guidance, support and training to branches. Developing a culture of accountability to achieve improved results, minimizing risks and liabilities to LUS and its clients through strong regulatory and corporate policy compliance. Ensuring that the branch offices are in full compliance with U.S. Customs regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Equivalent work experience will be considered in-lieu of education. Licensed Customs broker.

Minimum of 15 years brokerage experience. Strong classification and regulatory knowledge. Compliance policy development and auditing experience. 3 years supervisor/managerial experience.
