Summary The Structural Designer role offers the opportunity to design state of the art facilities across a diverse range of markets, including industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, real estate, solid waste, power, and public sector projects.
Responsibilities Coordinate with structural engineers to design buildings and building foundations, equipment foundations, masonry structures, and miscellaneous concrete and steel structures Evaluate and resolve design issues by reviewing multiple information sources and coordinating criteria with other disciplines Develop structural material take-offs Generate structural hour estimates for ongoing work and new proposals Provide quality oversight for structural designs completed by others
Qualifications Associates or technical degree preferred 4+ years of experience on commercial and heavy industrial/manufacturing projects Minimum of 1 year demonstrated proficiency with Revit Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and senior designers Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to perform field/site visits as needed
Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Understanding of structural engineering codes and standards
