is seeking a
Senior Director or Vice President of Manufacturing
(level flexible based on experience) to lead manufacturing operations and sustaining engineering for complex, regulated products. This highly visible role reports directly to the
CEO
and plays a critical part in scaling production, optimizing operations, and partnering with engineering to ensure manufacturability. This opportunity is ideal for a
hands‑on manufacturing leader with strong engineering depth
who thrives in technically rigorous environments. What You’ll Do Own
end‑to‑end manufacturing operations , including scale‑up and optimization Lead
sustaining engineering
and continuous improvement initiatives Partner closely with
R&D
on NPI readiness, design transfer, and manufacturability Provide manufacturability guidance and influence engineering design decisions Oversee supplier and vendor performance, including external partners Ensure
process validation, compliance, and operational excellence Drive manufacturing strategy, budgeting, and executive‑level reporting Build, develop, and lead a high‑performing manufacturing organization Team & Scope Lead a team of approximately
40–50 employees Includes multiple supervisors and a production organization of ~35–40 staff Collaborative environment working closely with
R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering What We’re Looking For 8–15+ years
of progressive manufacturing leadership in
regulated environments Demonstrated ownership of manufacturing operations Strong engineering foundation with the ability to drive manufacturability Proven experience with
NPI, scale‑up, and sustaining engineering Medical device manufacturing experience required , preferably complex, multi‑component products Stable tenure history;
at least one role of 4+ years
strongly preferred No sponsorship; relocation not preferred Education Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations
required Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred Advanced degree preferred Strong academic background highly valued Systems & Tools Manufacturing systems and operational tools experience required ERP experience required;
NetSuite preferred Compensation & Benefits Target salary:
$200,000 – $275,000
