Puesto is seeking a strategic and hands-on Beverage Director to lead our agave-forward beverage program across all locations. This role oversees margarita innovation, tequila and mezcal curation, beverage profitability, vendor partnerships, leadership development, and new store openings. This role is based in San Diego. Reporting directly to Ownership, this position requires regular travel and strong multi-unit oversight to ensure consistency, execution excellence, and margin performance.
Key Responsibilities Own beverage COGS, forecasting, and pricing strategy Monitor CTUIT reporting and standardize inventory systems Develop seasonal cocktail programs and maintain recipe consistency Negotiate supplier agreements and build agave partnerships Lead and mentor Bar Managers across all locations Oversee beverage execution for new store openings Support brand presence within the agave and cocktail community
Qualifications 5+ years progressive beverage leadership experience Multi-unit program management experience Deep expertise in tequila and mezcal Strong financial and vendor negotiation skills Experience with Toast POS and CTUIT preferred Willingness to travel regularly
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 a year - Full-time
