Construction Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects throughout the Chicago area. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be the on-site leader, working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to drive successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Oversee all on-site construction activities from ground-up through closeout Manage daily field operations, subcontractors, and site logistics Develop and maintain project schedules (look-ahead planning) Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA standards Conduct site meetings, coordinate trades, and resolve field issues in real time Monitor quality control and ensure adherence to plans and specifications Collaborate with the Project Manager on budgets, timelines, and change orders Maintain accurate daily reports and site documentation Enforce jobsite cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols Qualifications 5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction Experience with ground-up and/or interior build-out projects Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and safety practices Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Proven leadership experience managing subcontractors and field teams Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software preferred Strong communication xywuqvp and problem-solving skills What’s Offered Competitive base salary + bonus structure Vehicle allowance or company truck Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off + holidays Strong project pipeline with local work (minimal travel) Clear path for advancement to Senior Superintendent Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
