$80,000 – $90,000 base salary aligned with experience
Blayze Group is partnering with a commercial general contractor to appoint an Assistant Superintendent to support the delivery of
ground-up and renovation commercial projects
across Texas.
This position is suited to individuals early in their construction career, including
Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, or Project Engineers
, looking to transition into a site-based leadership role.
The Role • Support the Superintendent in managing day-to-day on-site construction activities • Assist with delivery of commercial projects including retail, office, healthcare, and light industrial • Coordinate subcontractors and assist with maintaining site productivity and sequencing • Help drive short-term look-ahead schedules and daily planning • Monitor site safety, quality control, and compliance with drawings and specifications • Assist with inspections, punch lists, and closeout processes • Maintain daily reports, site documentation, and progress tracking • Work closely with Project Managers and field teams to support execution
Background Sought • 2–3 years experience in construction, ideally within a commercial GC or subcontractor environment • Experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, or Project Engineer is preferred • Exposure to ground-up or renovation commercial projects • Strong understanding of construction drawings and basic sequencing • Willingness to be site-based and develop into a Superintendent role • Good communication and organisational skills • Stable work history with clear progression
