Human Resources Specialist The HR Specialist is responsible for the accurate and compliant administration of division payroll and benefits, in addition to providing HR operational support. This role serves as a key operational partner to Human Resources operations by ensuring payroll integrity, maintaining data accuracy, supporting associate benefit programs, and training initiatives. The position requires strong attention to detail, systems proficiency, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to support organizational change initiatives.
Process weekly payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
Ensure associate payroll accuracy, including correct wages, deductions, garnishments, etc.
Assist with benefits enrollment and explain policies to associates
Respond to payroll and benefit related inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Conduct system testing and validation during process implementations or changes
Provide HR operational support as needed
Assist with document retention efforts
Support onboarding and new hire orientation
Assist with internal and external recruiting processes
Coordinate associate recognition programs
Coordinate associate events and company initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field preferred
Experience with payroll and benefits administration
Manufacturing experience preferred
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization
Ability to multitask while meeting strict deadlines
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite, Tableau, and other system programs
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Strong organizational skills
Ability to adapt to evolving systems, processes, and organizational needs
