Recruitment Number 25-0225 This vacancy is with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, located in Downtown.

Level IV – $5,369 to $6,535 per month (SR-22, Step D to I)

Level V – $6,043 to $8,601 per month (SR-24, Step D to M)

Performs the most difficult human resources work independently and furnishes human resources management advisory services and evaluations for organizations which are complex, new, or dynamic; or serves as a specialist, consultant, and troubleshooter with independent responsibility for a functional area in resolving very difficult human resources problems and handling assignments of a very complex nature; and performs other related duties as assigned.

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Basic Education/Experience:

A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four‑year college or university.

Specialized Experience:

Two and one‑half (2 1/2) years for Level IV and three and one‑half (3 1/2) years for Level V of professional work experience in one or any combination of human resources management functions (recruitment, placement, examination, position classification, pay or wage administration, employee management relations and services, employee development, HR program development and services, labor relations, and HR research).

Selective Certification‑Labor Relations Experience (Level IV & V):

Of the required years of HR management experience, one year must consist of professional work experience in labor relations functions, which involved applying knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations in the field of labor relations (e.g., direct participation in collective bargaining negotiations as a spokesperson or staff support, recommending adjustments or denials of grievances, interpreting collective bargaining agreements, recommending solutions to labor relations problems, developing acceptable alternatives).

Supervisory Aptitude (Level V only):

Supervisory aptitude rather than actual experience may be accepted when strong affirmative evidence of necessary supervisory abilities and/or potential is provided.
