Essential Duties & Responsibilities

MMA, private training & small group training sales and service

Actively sells MMA programs, personal training, and small group training through effective prospecting, guest tours, and strong turnover (TO) execution when needed

Conducts and services MMA‑style introductory sessions, putting members through safe, engaging grappling‑ and striking‑based workouts designed to build confidence, generate interest, and transition members into MMA classes and private coaching

Services introductory personal training and MMA intro packages, builds value, and re‑signs clients into full MMA programs, private coaching, or class‑based training options

Maintains a primary focus on driving participation in MMA classes, ensuring members experience classes early and consistently as part of the onboarding process

Engages in consistent in‑person, digital, and outside‑of‑club outreach to generate leads, complimentary consultations, and MMA trial experiences

Ensures accurate administration of client programs, retail purchases, and scheduling; arrives on time, prepared, professional, and fully engaged for all appointments

Supports all revenue‑generating initiatives related to MMA, including trials, intro sessions, retail promotions, and special events

Consistently achieves or exceeds monthly revenue goals for MMA programming, private training, and retail sales

Reviews daily club sales performance and individual staff metrics in collaboration with the Fitness Manager, Vice President of Fitness, and MMA coaching staff to identify gaps and reinforce behaviors that drive results

Enforces company sales policies, systems, and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and performance

Independently manages personal client scheduling to ensure optimal time management, availability, and service quality

Coordinates directly with clients to schedule, reschedule, and confirm sessions, consultations, and class participation

Maintains accurate and up‑to‑date scheduling records and oversees the full scheduling lifecycle for assigned clients

Club administration and MMA program support

Partners with the Fitness Manager to ensure MMA and fitness coaches remain productive, engaged, and aligned with daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and service expectations

Establishes and reinforces daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals that meet or exceed company standards

Conducts structured meetings with MMA and fitness coaches to review performance metrics, operational expectations, and sales execution, while providing direction, motivation, and accountability

Supports member service initiatives including club tours, MMA program explanations, training agreements, and appointment setup

Addresses and resolves member concerns professionally and efficiently, escalating issues when appropriate

Performs administrative, organizational, and housekeeping duties within assigned areas as needed

Communicates facility repair and maintenance needs to Operations and conducts daily facility walk‑throughs to ensure club standards are upheld

Supervises coach sales activity, reviews agreements, and prepares required daily paperwork

Ensures compliance with operational procedures through regular system checks and performance monitoring

Organizational Relationships The MMA Personal Training Sales Manager reports directly to the

Fitness Manager and/or General Manager . This role works closely with MMA and fitness coaching staff and is responsible for communicating, reinforcing, and upholding all company policies and procedures. Daily interaction with club members and employees is required.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong working knowledge of personal training principles, including assessments, program design, client retention, and sales

Hands‑on experience training in both grappling and striking disciplines (e.g., BJJ, wrestling, Muay Thai, boxing, or similar), with the ability to demonstrate workouts and speak confidently about MMA programming

Professional or amateur fight experience is not required

Strong sales acumen with the ability to build rapport, uncover needs, and close training and retail sales

Ability to safely operate and adjust all fitness equipment

Working knowledge of company policies, safety standards, and emergency procedures

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a confident, professional, and positive demeanor

Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build trust quickly

Clear verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities

Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Adherence to all meal and rest break requirements and accurate timekeeping practices

Required Experience

Minimum of one certification recognized by UFC Gym

Current CPR/AED certification

High school diploma or GED required

Four‑year degree in a related field recognized by UFC Gym (preferred)

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sales, personal training, MMA program sales, or fitness leadership

Prior experience in management or employee relations preferred

A background in Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu, wrestling, Muay Thai, boxing, or similar disciplines is strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, walk, and move throughout the club

Physical demands include lifting, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 45+ lbs
