Our aviation client in the Indianapolis Metro area
is seeking a
Cabin Engineer
to design and analyze
aircraft cabin interior systems and components
to support
STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) projects . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
mechanical design, analysis, and certification
for aircraft interior modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze
mechanical components
for aircraft
interior modifications and avionics upgrades
in compliance with
FAA and STC project requirements .
Prepare
cabin interior modification, installation, and fabrication drawings , as well as detailed engineering reports.
Develop
work instructions and airworthiness procedures
to ensure regulatory compliance.
Interpret
engineering drawings
and provide
technical guidance
for aircraft interior modifications.
Collaborate with
cross-functional teams
to ensure successful project execution.
Conduct
structural substantiation analysis
as needed.
Travel
up to 10% domestically and internationally
for project support.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
in
Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering .
7+ years
of experience in
design, analysis, substantiation, certification, drawing interpretation, and project management .
Proficiency in
AutoCAD and Inventor
for design and drafting.
Experience with
Airbus and Boeing aircraft
interior systems.
Strong knowledge of
Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs – Title 14 CFR) .
Expertise in
FAA STC processes, Structural Repair Manual (SRM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), and Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) .
Ability to work in a
fast-paced environment
while maintaining attention to detail.
This is an excellent opportunity for a

Pay Rate:
$120,000+ base salary with 10%-15% bonus based off profit
