About the Role As the Supplier Relationship Lead for Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), you will oversee the performance, compliance, and daily operations of IFM partners supporting building maintenance, HVAC, electrical systems, utilities, GxP cleaning, pest control, and other critical site services at MassBio Ops. This role requires hands‑on experience within an IFM delivery model and deep familiarity with both hard and soft FM services. You will lead IFM governance activities, manage SLAs and KPIs, and ensure outsourced partners deliver safe, compliant, and inspection‑ready services. Acting as a technical subject matter expert across maintenance and GxP operational areas, you will interface directly with IFM providers during audits, support regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement. You will also oversee the strategic relationship with external engineering firms, ensuring alignment on technical priorities, project execution, and compliance requirements across critical site engineering activities. You will partner closely with Site Engineering and report to the Plant Engineering Lead.

How You Will Contribute

Directly oversee third‑party service providers supporting Site Engineering, ensuring budget‑compliant, and regulatory‑adherent delivery of services

Serve as the primary technical liaison with service providers, addressing quality and safety impacts

Cultivate strong working relationships with external engineering firms, ensuring technical alignment, seamless coordination on capital and maintenance projects, and consistent delivery of compliant, high‑quality engineering solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, scope alignment, and performance oversight across engineering partners.

Regularly review provider performance and costs, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiencies

Oversee onboarding and ongoing alignment of IFM partners with Takeda's global vendor strategy

Manage all aspects of IFM program budgeting, including development, approvals, purchase orders, accruals, and invoice reconciliation

Lead contract management, including scope changes, renewals, bid events, due diligence, volumetrics, and service terminations. Develop and maintain robust supplier relationships to ensure alignment between local and global teams

Monitor contract timelines, expirations, and compliance with all terms

Ensure supplier performance meets contractual obligations using dashboards, scorecards, and reports

Establish and manage SLAs for all IFM services at the site

Oversee coordinated delivery of maintenance and facilities operations, resource allocation, and quality execution

Ensure 24/7 operational readiness and effective response to site issues and alarms

Provide oversight of boiler operations and ensure adequate facilities resources for reliability, compliance, and maximum availability

Maintain inspection readiness and compliance with Quality, EHS, and regulatory requirements

Identify and implement best‑in‑class maintenance practices to drive efficiency and improve KPIs

Conduct and/or manage site performance audits

Demonstrate strategic thinking and innovation to enhance business outcomes, patient focus, and organizational reputation

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of exemplary performance in facility operations and management

Proven experience managing third‑party IFM firms and suppliers

Deep technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, and boiler operations

Experience in life sciences or scientific research environments

Strong knowledge of building maintenance principles and practices

Demonstrated budget management and negotiation skills

For Location USA - MA - Lexington

U.S. Base Salary Range $153,600.00 - $241,340.00. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term and/or long‑term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well‑being benefits, among others.
