
Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative at FTNI, an Ascendant Company, you'll be on the front lines of our growth story. You'll prospect into mid-market companies across targeted industries, open doors with senior financial decision-makers, and help build the pipeline that fuels our aggressive expansion goals.
This is not a call center job. This is the starting point of a sales career for someone who wants to learn from the best, compete at a high level, and earn significant responsibility fast. The role requires full-time, on-site work at our Omaha, NE, office location.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Prospect and qualify prospective clients via inbound and outbound prospecting efforts, including phone, personalized video, and email campaigns
Engage CFOs, Controllers, and VP Finance executives through personalized email, phone, and LinkedIn outreach
Develop a deep understanding of your target verticals and articulate a credible, financially-grounded value proposition
Qualify inbound leads and convert interest into scheduled meetings for our senior sales executives
Maintain accurate pipeline activity and notes in CRM
Collaborate closely with Sales Management to develop account strategies and prioritize target accounts
Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly qualified meeting targets
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Ascendant and FTNI’s full suite of solutions
Attend and represent FTNI at industry trade events as needed
Stay up to date with the latest developments in the payments industry and continuously improve product knowledge
What Would Make This an Easy Win?
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field is preferred
We value candidates with a competitive mindset and the ability to thrive under pressure—those with experience in service-driven roles (e.g. server, bartender) or collegiate athletics have historically excelled in this position.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proactive self-starter who enjoys a challenge
