Job Description
Summary
Organizing and directing escrow closings for complex commercial real estate transactions in Virginia and nationwide.
The position involves working collaboratively within our organization as well as with customers, including law firms, commercial lenders and commercial real estate firms. Strong candidates will have significant experience in the title industry dealing with commercial transactions from beginning to end.
This is a Virginia-based job opportunity, with the ideal candidate residing in Richmond. Will consider a remote work arrangement for the right Virginia-based candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares escrow agreements and communicates internally for deposits of earnest money, investing and transfer of funds
Prepares commercial settlement statements, while reviewing purchase agreements, title commitments and closing instruction letters
Manages overall closing process
Maintains closing checklists and coordinates with parties for payoffs and items necessary to document the charges set forth on the settlement statements
Communicates with underwriting staff as to the status of closing and confirms all closing requirements are satisfied
Coordinates and closes single and multi-site transactions with ORT offices nationwide
Assembles and distributes closing packages pursuant to escrow instructions
Post-closing follow-up, including policy issuance and distribution
Maintains complete digital files
Complies with Company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and completes mandatory company compliance training by prescribed deadlines.
At a minimum, possesses the ability to work your scheduled work hours, Monday through Friday.
Dependable, reliable and punctual attendance is required, which may include in-office attendance or attendance at company, industry or other events that occur outside regular business hours.
Ability to accept supervision and direction, as well as constructive feedback.
Ability to collaborate and interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person.
Demonstrates courtesy, flexibility, professionalism and is proactive and responsive to supervisor/manager, co-workers and customer needs and expectations.
