Overview SOFX Inc., a media-based information technology company and parent to the SOFX family of companies, is currently seeking a Social Media Intern to support day-to-day social media activities, including posting content, monitoring engagement, and assisting with basic digital tasks. SOFX produces daily conflict and security intelligence while connecting organizations with a highly influential audience across the defense, national security, and technology sectors. We are a small, fast-moving team looking for someone who can reliably help maintain an active and engaging social media presence. The Company The overall mission of SOFX, Inc. is to provide information and connectivity to professionals across the special operations, defense, and national security communities. SOFX publishes The SOFX Report, a widely read daily briefing covering global conflict, security, geopolitics, and emerging defense technologies. Through this media platform and its professional network, SOFX connects organizations with decision-makers and professionals across the defense, aerospace, national security, technology, and government contracting sectors. Companies partner with SOFX to reach this audience through newsletter sponsorships, advertising placements, digital media partnerships, and strategic visibility within the SOFX ecosystem. The Compensation $7.25 per hour base compensation The Location & Schedule Paid internship position working approximately 40 hours per month Hybrid or remote work arrangement after initial onboarding The Role Assist with posting content across social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. Monitor comments, messages, and basic engagement on social media channels. Help format and schedule posts using simple tools or platforms. Support the team with basic content updates and edits. Maintain consistent posting and activity across channels. Perform other simple tasks as assigned by the team. The Background Profile Current college student with a strong interest or area of study in social media, marketing, communications or related field Experience with social media platforms and ability to create and engage an audience Familiarity or strong interest in military culture, terminology, and tone with background or exposure to military or special operations communities strongly preferred Ability to match tone and voice for a defense and national security audience Strong written communication skills, especially for short-form content Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency in posting and messaging Working knowledge of basic social media and scheduling tools Candidates must reside in a HUBZone-designated area to support SOFX’s federal HUBZone program eligibility requirements The Ideal Candidate Reliable and consistent with completing assigned tasks Willingness to learn and take direction Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Basic writing and proofreading skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
