National Account Manager
Location:
Remote - 25% travel across the country, and to their White Plains office
Compensation: $140,000-$160,000

Responsibilities:

  • Account Ownership & Relationship Management
    • Manage key national accounts and broker partners, serving as the primary point of contact.
    • Build strong, multi-level customer relationships to influence decisions and deepen engagement.
    • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer objectives and aligning company capabilities.
  • Sales Growth & Business Planning
    • Develop and execute annual business plans including distribution goals and promotional strategy.
    • Identify and pursue growth opportunities such as new items, expanded assortment, and seasonal programs.
    • Monitor sales vs. plan and proactively address risks or emerging trends.
  • Strategic Customer Engagement
    • Lead joint business planning and deliver data-driven presentations tailored to each account.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, promotions, and annual contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure aligned execution.
    • Collaborate to resolve inventory challenges and support profitable growth.
  • Market & Business Analysis
    • Analyze POS and shipment data, category trends, and competitive insights.
    • Track promotional performance and trade spend to improve ROI.
    • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation.
  • New Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new customers and channels.
    • Build a pipeline of prospective opportunities and guide new accounts through onboarding.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure accurate execution of new item set-ups, pricing updates, and promotional entries.
    • Stay informed on market trends and competitive developments.

Qualifications:

  • Some higher education is preferred.
  • CPG/private label manufacturing experience.
  • 3-4+ years of experience in a similar national role.
  • Experience working with large brands.
