Founding Account Executive (SF, Hybrid) — Break Into AE the Right Way
GTMRec is hiring on behalf of a venture-backed AI startup redefining how B2B companies handle RFPs and complex sales workflows.
This is a rare opportunity for top SDRs or early AEs to step into a true closing role — with ownership, mentorship, and real pipeline responsibility.
⚡ What you’ll do- Own the full sales cycle: outbound → discovery → close
- Build pipeline from scratch through high-quality outbound
- Work directly with founders to shape GTM strategy and sales motion
- Close deals in the ~$20K–$40K ACV range
- Help define the future sales org and playbook
- Engage with GTM and Sales Engineering teams as core buyers
- Top-performing SDRs/BDRs (1–2 yrs) ready to step into AE
- OR early AEs (0–2 yrs) with strong outbound ability
- Proven overperformance (quota, rankings, promotions)
- Strong hunter mindset — not reliant on inbound
- Scrappy, high-ownership, and comfortable in ambiguity
- Motivated by growth and impact, not just comp
- You’re a mid/senior AE optimizing for comp
- You rely heavily on inbound pipeline
- You prefer structured, late-stage sales environments
- $100K – $110K base (OTE ~$200K–$220K, 50/50 split)
- Equity: 0.1% – 0.3%
- 📍 San Francisco (hybrid, 3+ days in-office)
