JOB TITLE: SENIOR DESIGN & SALES CONSULTANT

Reports To: Showroom Director
SUMMARY:

Utilize your talent, remarkable interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail to present our philosophy of design. The Senior Sales & Design Consultant is responsible for generating sales opportunities through a variety of techniques. This individual has responsibilities of increased scope within the organization above and beyond the Design & Sales Associate position.
Please note that this is a pilot project and is only valid for one year. If the expected requirements listed below are not maintained, a probationary period will be put into place with an action plan for correction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve monthly and annual New Orders and Closed Order Targets.
- Generate prospective clientele from the showroom either from in-store visits or by identifying opportunities for new business within the market and working on outreach efforts via phone, or video conference.
- Achieve KPI’s and revenue targets as set by the Showroom Manager.
- Arrange meetings with prospects to demonstrate products.
- Identify opportunities for new business within the market whether by finding architectural projects, real estate developments or other market segments to obtain new business.
- Track competitors and their activities within the industry.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Ensure all administration related to sales is completed effectively.
- Work closely with other departments and find opportunities to cross-sell.
- Fully and completely utilize the company’s CRM system entering accurate information.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (BA) with two to five years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS:
- Proven ability to drive sales and generate new business.
- Relevant industry experience ideally gained within the multiline, high-end contemporary European furnishings industry.
- Confident and experienced negotiator able to drive revenue.
- Ambitious and driven personality with a hunger for success.
- Computer skills required: Design Software AutoCAD; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint).
- Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions.
- Writes clearly and informatively.
