Job Description

LePub New York are seeking a Data Strategy Intern to support our growing Data Strategy team. This team is responsible for uncovering rich, actionable consumer and cultural insights that help shape our clients' strategic and creative decision-making.

As an intern, you will work closely with the team to analyze qualitative and quantitative data, helping to identify emerging trends, cultural signals, and insight opportunities. You'll contribute to real client work while receiving mentorship and hands-on guidance from experienced team members.

The ideal candidate is deeply curious about people, culture, and brands, with a strong interest in using data to uncover meaningful insights.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the Data Strategy team in exploring and analyzing different types of data to uncover insights and opportunities. Your work will help build a stronger understanding of client audiences and the cultural trends shaping consumer values, attitudes, and behaviors, informing brand strategy and creative development.

Day-to-day functions may include: Partnering with senior Data Strategy team members on active client projects, contributing to real-time strategic thinking Assisting with conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis to help answer key business and brand questions Building and refining social listening queries, analyzing outputs, and identifying emerging themes and opportunities Synthesizing research from syndicated platforms (e.g., Mintel, Euromonitor) to surface relevant consumer and cultural trends Developing audience profiles using tools like MRI-Simmons and GWI to uncover key behaviors, mindsets, and segments Supporting the design and execution of primary research (e.g., interviews, surveys), including synthesis of findings into clear takeaways Contributing to the creation of insight-led deliverables (e.g., presentations, summaries) that inform strategy and inspire creative development Bringing a proactive, detail-oriented mindset and strong communication skills to collaboration across teams Qualifications

Ideal intern is intellectually curious, analytically minded, detail orientated and motivated to apply data and insights to real-world brand and creative challenges. They are eager to go beyond surface-level findings to uncover deeper human and cultural truths.

Strong curiosity about human behavior, culture, and the role brands play in shaping both Ability and eagerness to explore data independently, identifying patterns and insights that aren't immediately obvious Collaborative and confident working across teams in a fast-paced environment Experience (through coursework, internships, or projects) analyzing qualitative and/or quantitative data Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets Understanding of data organization and hygiene, with the ability to work with structured datasets Ability to communicate insights clearly through written, visual, and presentation formats Exposure to social listening or research tools (e.g., Pulsar, Quid, Brandwatch) is a plus Familiarity with Python, R, or SQL is a plus, but not required Demonstrates initiative through independent projects, coursework, or side interests that explore data, culture, or consumer behavior

Compensation Range: $17.00/hr.- $24.19/hr. $This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
