Business Development Representative
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities and setting qualified meetings for Sales Representatives. This role focuses on outbound and inbound prospect engagement, early stage qualification, and consistent pipeline creation in support of revenue growth. The ideal candidate has previous experience in a BDR or SDR role, is a strong communicator, and has a proven track record of successfully booking meetings for sales teams, preferably within a technology or Microsoft partner environment. Proactively identify, contact, and qualify prospective customers through outbound and inbound efforts (phone, email, LinkedIn, campaign follow-up). Conduct initial discovery conversations to assess prospect fit, needs, and interest. Schedule qualified meetings between prospects and assigned Sales Representatives. Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity, notes, and lead status in CRM. Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to align messaging and improve lead quality. Follow defined qualification criteria and hand off well qualified opportunities to Sales. Meet or exceed activity, meeting set, and pipeline contribution targets. Represent the company professionally and consistently in all prospect interactions. Required Qualifications
Previous experience in a BDR/SDR or similar role (this role is not intended for entry level candidates). Demonstrated success setting appointments for sales representatives. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable engaging prospects via phone, email, and social platforms. Ability to follow a structured sales development process while adapting to conversations. Strong organization, followup, and time management skills. Experience using CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics CRM, HubSpot, or similar preferred). Preferred Qualifications
Experience working for a Microsoft reseller, systems integrator, or technology services firm. Familiarity with Microsoft solutions (Dynamics 365, Business Central, Azure, M365) is a plus. Experience supporting mid-market or enterprise sales teams. Success in This Role Looks Like
