We’re looking for an experienced Multi‑Skilled Journalist (MSJ) to join our team in KPIX‑TV. The successful candidate will bring ideas to the table daily, cultivate sources, and maintain a strong social media presence. The role requires creative storytelling skills, energetic delivery, and the ability to create shareable stories for both broadcast and digital/social platforms. Responsibilities Develop story ideas, write, shoot, and edit news content for on‑air daily newscasts. Pitch vetted stories reflective of the community. Establish and maintain relationships/sources in the community. Produce content for Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites. Work under pressure and meet deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned. SAG/AFTRA union membership required. Preferred Qualifications Ability to shoot and edit broadcast‑quality video for television newscasts and digital platforms. Work independently with accuracy and problem‑solve quickly. Knowledge of broadcast ENG camera, lighting, audio, and live U‑tape. Strong social media skills and ability to contribute across all platforms. Flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends. Team player who can work under deadlines and multi‑task. College degree in Journalism/Communications/Broadcasting preferred, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 4 years MSJ/television reporting experience preferred. Additional Information Hiring Salary Range: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00. The salary range applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay depends on geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
