Description The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is seeking a

Finance Director

who is charged with planning and organizing the system of grants management and compliance for the Regional Council. Expertise in applying the standards of the Office of Management and Budget Uniform Guidance with an emphasis on administrative requirements and cost principles and audit requirements is required. The ability to understand and interpret these guidelines and develop a sophisticated organizational finance strategy is crucial. The posting will remain open until filled.

Position Requirements Qualifications and experience: The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Office of Management and Budget Uniform Guidance, as well as principles and practices of accounting and budgeting, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); a thorough understanding of laws and administrative policies governing municipal financial practices; knowledge of effective communication principles and practices; ability to prepare and present complex fiscal reports to the Board of Delegates, governing bodies, and state and federal agencies; ability to supervise development and implementation of accounting systems and procedures; planning, organizing, and directing workforce; foster teamwork and maintain harmonious relationships; and exercise sound professional judgment.

Education and certifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business finance, public administration or related field; significant supervisory experience of finance professionals; current CPA and/or NC-CLGFO designation preferred. Must pass pre‑employment drug screening and background check. Valid driver’s license required.
