We are currently partnering with a mission-driven, quasi-public real estate development organization focused on driving economic growth, investment, and community impact across a major U.S. city.
This organization oversees a diverse portfolio of mixed-use, civic, and community-oriented assets and is actively expanding its development platform with a stronger focus on execution and deal activity.
The Role
This is a high-impact leadership role sitting at the intersection of real estate development, capital structuring, and asset management.
The Director will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in executing complex development projects, structuring multi-layered capital stacks, and overseeing portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead real estate transactions including RFQs/RFPs, developer selection, and deal negotiation
Evaluate development opportunities and execute cradle-to-grave projects
Structure complex capital stacks including public, private, and tax credit financing
Build financial models, pro formas, and investment analyses
Oversee asset management across a diverse real estate portfolio
Develop operating budgets, capital plans, and performance strategies
Manage consultants including architects, engineers, legal, and financial advisors
Coordinate with stakeholders across government, community, and investment partners
Support development of innovative financing programs and investment strategies
What They're Looking For
5–12+ years of experience in real estate development, asset management, or development finance
Strong experience with deal execution and financial structuring
Exposure to public-private partnerships and/or tax credit financing (LIHTC, NMTC, etc.) preferred
Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders
Strong financial modeling and analytical skillset
Experience in urban, mixed-use, or community-oriented development is a plus
Compensation
Base Salary: $110,000 – $140,000
