Key Responsibilities:
Strong track record of learning and applying ER concepts with minimal supervision.
Ensures all Company HR related policies are applied consistently.
Support on-site HRM to objectively coach associates and management through ER issues.
Under the supervision of the onsite HRM, lead on-site investigations in a union and non-union environment.
Partner with the onsite HRM to execute and conclude investigations in a timely manner.
Able to facilitate resolutions when conflicts arise amongst non-union hourly associates. Document conflicts amongst union associates.
Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws.
Able to proactively manage and document co-employment issues and concerns in a professional manner.
Works with the HR to act as a diversity champion by leading assigned tasks and corporate diversity activities, including diversity recruiting, retention, and promotion goals.
Qualifications: Must have two years of demonstrated, solid expertise in employee relations, specifically with conducting investigations and monitoring agreed-upon resolutions. Completion of a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Resources, Personnel, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Public Administration, or any closely related degree. Certification/s in ER or LR preferred. Demonstrated track record of continuous learning as it pertains to ER and/or LR best practices. Two years of demonstrated solid expertise in employee relations, specifically with conducting investigations and monitoring agreed-upon resolutions. Skilled in conflict resolution techniques and strategies. Demonstrated ability to listen and gain information in a timely manner. Excellent listening and counseling abilities. Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills. Familiarity with HRIS systems. Track record of applying relevant laws and regulations applicable to ER functions and standard methodology. Experience with defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions when managing employee relations issues. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to converse with various types of people from multiple backgrounds and cultures. A strong eye for details and accuracy. Well-developed critical thinking and decision-making skills, along with excellent problem-solving abilities. Ability to remain confidential in company data and only communicate to those who need to know. Strong organizational and time management skills. Maintains dedication to excellence and high standards.
