Farm Account Executive
Western Agency is the largest independent property and casualty (P&C) insurance agency in the North Dakota and South Dakota region. We are seeking a Farm Account Executive to manage and grow relationships within a book of agricultural and farm clients. This role is responsible for leading renewals, servicing accounts, and delivering strategic risk management solutions tailored to complex farm operations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, client-focused, and experienced in agricultural insurance, with the ability to operate independently while collaborating with internal teams and carrier partners. This is a full-time, fully remote position supporting our office located in Minot, ND. Professional Responsibilities
Serve as a primary service partner for assigned agricultural and commercial accounts, supporting Producers with new business and renewals. Manage the full policy lifecycle, including quoting, applications, endorsements, renewals, binders, and certificates of insurance. Analyze client operations and insurance programs to identify coverage needs, gaps, and risk management opportunities. Coordinate with underwriters on submissions, pricing, coverage terms, and underwriting inquiries. Process policy changes, billing questions, and claims submissions with accuracy and timeliness. Maintain complete and accurate records within the agency management system. Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders. Stay current on industry trends, carrier appetite, and coverage developments, particularly within agricultural insurance. Qualifications and Requirements
3+ years of experience in property & casualty insurance, with a strong focus on account management and client service. Active Property & Casualty insurance license. Prior experience managing agricultural or farm insurance accounts, including operations averaging 2,000+ acres. Strong understanding of risk management principles and complex insurance coverages. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and agency management systems. Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred or equivalent insurance experience. Relevant industry certifications such as CIC preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
