Work you'll do

The purpose of this position is to serve as the primary case manager for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Federal Dislocated Worker (DW), Adult programs and State Dislocated Worker services to eligible recipients. The incumbent may also provide limited support to Adult Career Pathways services (ACP) and programs. The position also has partner relationships between local CareerForce locations, partner agencies, and Employers throughout the region. The incumbent will also assist universal customers with career services in the way of Career Lab support and workshop development and facilitation.
Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year experience providing employment and training services, case management, facilitating workshops, career placement, career coaching, workforce development, employment and training programs, human services related programs or a similar role as determined by the agency.
Evaluation Criteria
Skill using Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams, PowerPoint) or similar software.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handling confidential information and data.
Ability to communicate and develop relationships effectively across diverse populations and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Human Resources, Business, Education, Communication or other closely related field as determined by the agency.
Knowledge of Minnesota's workforce programs, including work with public workforce development agencies and related non‑profit organizations.
Experience using CareerForce.mn.gov, Minnesotaworks.net, Workforce One and Microsoft SharePoint.
Knowledge of Grant management, evaluation, administration, and fiscal monitoring.
Skill in communicating in a secondary language, such as Spanish or Somali.
