Position Summary We’re seeking a motivated
Commercial Service Project Sales Representative
to identify, develop, and close service project opportunities. This role involves building strong client relationships, understanding customer needs, and offering tailored solutions that drive value.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify and research prospective customers—including contractors, developers, and building owners—to generate new sales opportunities through networking, cold outreach, and participation in industry events.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to drive repeat business and sustain a healthy sales pipeline.
Needs Assessment & Solution Development: Meet with clients to understand facility challenges, survey existing systems, and collaborate with engineering teams to develop tailored MEP solutions such as retrofits, upgrades, and new installations.
Proposal & Contract Management: Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and bid packages, negotiate terms and close sales in alignment with company goals and margin expectations.
Technical Expertise & Presentations: Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations that clearly outline proposed solutions and their operational and financial benefits to clients.
Project Coordination: Serve as the primary client contact during project execution, collaborating with project managers and installation teams to ensure smooth delivery, installation, and commissioning.
Market Analysis & Reporting: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to refine sales strategies. Provide regular forecasts and activity reports through CRM software.
Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed assigned annual sales and gross margin goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, business, or a related field preferred. Strong MEP background required.
Experience: 3–5+ years of technical sales or business development experience in MEP, construction, or related industries.
Experience: 3–5+ years of project management experience, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost management, risk management, and resource coordination.
Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection) and applicable building codes and standards.
