Float Phlebotomist
Pride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Bellingham WA 98225. This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of a contract hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.
Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process.
Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms.
Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.
Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal.
Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers; apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings.
Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes.
Job Requirements
Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment; work independently with minimal on‑site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime.
Demonstrate superior customer focus; communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; embrace change; and possess knowledge of our business.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Three years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred; keyboard/data entry experience.
Active driving license.
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
