The Sales Engineer I plays a critical role at the intersection of engineering and sales, providing technical expertise while supporting the promotion and delivery of advanced manufacturing products and solutions. Our customers span a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on generator set distributors who depend on us for custom enclosure and packaging solutions designed to meet performance, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

This position requires the ability to interpret customer project specifications, apply engineering knowledge, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality, customized solutions. The Sales Engineer collaborates closely with internal teams and customers to drive project success from initial concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver technical quotations, proposals, and customized product configurations

Prepare complete customer submittal packages, including drawings, cut sheets, and supporting documentation

Work closely with engineering and production teams to validate design feasibility and ensure the accuracy of custom modifications

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and internal stakeholders

Support the Project Manager throughout the manufacturing lifecycle to promote on-time and successful delivery

Participate in training sessions focused on power systems, controls, and relevant industry standards

Develop familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements in the power generation industry

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical/scientific field, or equivalent relevant experience

0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or related technical environments

Basic understanding of electrical systems, generators, and/or mechanical power systems

Willingness to learn enclosure manufacturing processes, sales methodologies, and diverse customer applications

Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Excel preferred
