Job Title
Architectural Designer II
Job Description As an Architectural Designer II, you will assist project leadership during the construction document and construction administration phases. You will independently produce and coordinate through the construction document phase, contributing to project development with limited supervision. Your role requires initiative, problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail and accuracy. You must be able to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development and communicate clearly through both oral and written communication.
Responsibilities
Assist project leadership during construction document and administration phases.
Independently produce and coordinate construction documents.
Contribute to project development with limited supervision.
Exhibit initiative, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail and accuracy.
Focus on multiple projects in various stages of development.
Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Manage clients, engineers, and state and township representatives.
Perform code analysis and ensure no code violations.
Understand zoning limitations such as parking requirements and residential elevations.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to complete a full set of construction documents.
5+ years of experience in wood frame residential architecture and wood frame mixed-use commercial projects.
Knowledge of building sections, wall sections, nailing, flashing, and damp proofing.
Understanding of code and zoning for town ordinances and small building tenant fit-ups.
Ability to ask questions and seek clarification when necessary.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Parsippany‑Troy Hills, NJ.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $48.00/hr.
