Description We are seeking an Associate to bring their energy, passion, and expertise to help our clients get the answers they need to get the deal done. We provide private equity and corporate clients buy‑side and sell‑side financial accounting due diligence. TAG professionals actively engage in assessing a target’s quality of earning, analyzing cash flows, reviewing working capital, identifying key business drivers, reviewing forecasts, and conducting comprehensive discussions with management and their advisors.

The Team Global Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) is a subsidiary of A&M and leads in providing global leadership and advisory services to diverse industries. TAG professionals specialize in financial and accounting buy‑side and sell‑side due diligence, capital markets and accounting advisory, global transaction analytics, environmental, technical & sustainability (ETS), and other related M&A services for private equity, hedge funds, sovereign wealth, family office and corporate clients worldwide.

How you will contribute? As an Associate, you will work with a highly motivated and effective team on a variety of projects across multiple industries, including manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, restaurants, business and industrial services, healthcare, software & technology, energy, and financial services. You will gain exposure to an integrated due diligence approach that goes beyond traditional quality‑of‑earning analyses and focuses on key value drivers for sponsors and lenders.

Responsibilities

Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying key risks and potential deal breakers, assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the business against industry benchmarks, and aiding the evaluation of the potential transaction in the context of the client’s investment strategy.

Analyze detailed financial statement information—including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and key operational data—and synthesize it into meaningful information used to drive discussions with target management.

Assess the quality of the target company’s reported earnings, net assets, and cash flows.

After investigative analysis, assist in constructing deal‑oriented reports and presentations for clients that highlight key financial, commercial, and other findings, and the drivers behind maintainable profits and cash flows. Aid the team in articulating how such findings should be incorporated into client valuations, sale/purchase agreements, and negotiating points.

Participate in meetings and conference calls with target company management and client personnel; serve as a secondary point of contact for day‑to‑day execution matters.

Be actively involved in building and maintaining client relationships and other business development opportunities.

Qualifications

Minimum 2‑3 years of audit experience at a top accounting firm, plus at least 1 year of experience in a financial accounting due diligence group.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or related major.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining one.

Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.

High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong project management skills.

Flexibility to work as both a team member and individual contributor.

Ability to thrive in fast‑paced settings.

Base salary: $100,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
