Job Description Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Designs are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectations
Designs are completed according to schedule
Designs meet Afinitas engineering standards
Design analysis, drawings, and bills of material are accurate
Coordinate layout and design of equipment
Perform design analysis for equipment
Create manufacturing drawings for equipment
Create and complete bills of material for equipment
Evaluate and implement design changesWork with manufacturing on build processes and improvement
Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office software effectively
Qualifications
Technical 4-year education or technical 2-year education required
Basic understanding of:
Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
Mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed
Strength of materials and structural analysis
Manufacturing processes
Training and/or experience in using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Training and/or experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3-D modeling software
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to shifting priorities
Attention to detail
Work individually as well as in a team environment
Takes personal ownership and satisfaction on quality work
WORK ENVIRONMENT This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.
