Job Title: Partner Relations Coordinator

Project: EKY Runway Project – Outreach & Retention
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Eastern Kentucky (Serving Bell, Floyd, Harlan, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, Perry, and Pike counties)
Reports To: Outreach & Retention Project Manager
The Partner Relations Coordinator will oversee, and lead activities related to creating referral pipelines from external partners under the Outreach + Retention Project of the EKY Runway Program. The position serves as the key liaison between SOAR and external organizations supporting individuals in the prime-age employment gap (PAEG). The goal of the position is to create intentional lead funnels for services offered. Travel throughout the 12-county service territory is required. This role will be in office 5 days a week. Satellite offices are located throughout the 54-county service territory.
Duties and Responsibilities 1. Partner Engagement & Relationship Management
Coordinate and execute outreach strategies to engage external partners, including, but not limited to, Adult Education Centers, Community Action Agencies, Cooperative Extension Agencies, Community Colleges, and Area Development Districts.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders to increase program visibility and enhance referral networks.
Represent SOAR in community meetings, networking events, and strategic discussions to advance workforce development efforts.
2. Program Promotion & Recruitment
Travel extensively across the 12-county project service territory to promote the Eastern Kentucky Runway project.
Conduct in-depth presentations at external events, leveraging public speaking and engagement skills to drive program awareness and referrals.
Develop and distribute informational materials, ensuring consistent messaging and brand alignment.
3. Data Management & Reporting
Independently track and analyze outreach activities, maintaining comprehensive records of engagements, referrals, and program outcomes.
Generate and present weekly reports to Outreach & Retention leadership, providing insights on outreach effectiveness and recommending adjustments to strategies as needed.
Utilize CRM (Hubspot) system to input and monitor project outputs and outcomes.
4. Process Optimization & Communication
Communicate barriers and opportunities to project leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
Identify operational challenges and proactively recommend solutions to enhance outreach effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with standardized procedures and grant reporting requirements.
Expectations & Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, or related field, or relevant work experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a knack for building trust and rapport.
Demonstrated ability to identify and engage marginalized populations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with keen attention to detail.
Comfortable with extensive travel within the project service territory.
Experience with CRM (HubSpot) and data reporting preferred.
Strong interest in increasing prosperity in Eastern Kentucky communities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Regular and reliable attendance required
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Must be able to handle prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or standing at an event
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time when necessary
