
Events & Fundraising Specialist

The Events & Fundraising Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing events and fundraising initiatives that drive donor engagement and revenue growth. This role plays a critical part in advancing the Foundation’s mission by creating impactful experience, cultivating donor relationships, and supporting strategic development efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and passionate about making a difference.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Execution
Plan and execute fundraising events including donor receptions, community events, and virtual campaigns
Manage all event logistics: venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, timelines, and on-site execution
Oversee event marketing in collaboration with internal and external partners
Support the development and execution of fundraising campaigns and initiatives
Identify and cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
Assist in securing sponsorships, donations, and in-kind contributions
Coordinate donor outreach, invitations, and follow-up communications
Campaign Management
Track fundraising goals, event performance, and donor engagement metrics
Assist with grant-related events or stewardship activities as needed
Communications & Brand Representation
Partner with marketing to develop event messaging, invitations, and promotional materials
Represent the Foundation at events and in the community as a brand ambassador
Ensure consistent storytelling that aligns with the organization’s mission and values
Budgeting & Reporting
Develop and manage event budgets to maximize ROI
Track expenses and revenue for each event or campaign
Prepare post-event reports including outcomes, insights, and recommendations
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Event planning and project management experience
Fundraising strategy and execution
Relationship building and donor stewardship
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving
Creativity and adaptability
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, communications, marketing, or related field preferred
Two to five years of experience in event planning, fundraising, or nonprofit development
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Experience with donor databases (CRM system) preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of standing or sitting may be required
Ability to work evenings or weekends for events, as needed
Ability to lift and transport event materials (up to 25 pounds)
Ability to travel to events, as required
