
New Construction Paralegal – Residential Home Builder

About The Role
Our client is seeking a high-growth residential home builder seeking an experienced New Construction Paralegal to join our team in Delaware. In this role, you'll be the key legal and operational support for our land, development, and sales teams-managing critical legal documentation across the homebuilding process from land acquisition to contract execution to settlement.
What You'll Do
Prepare and review new home sales contracts, addenda, disclosures, and closing documents
Coordinate with title companies, lenders, buyers, and internal departments to ensure seamless closings
Support land development legal work, including title review, permitting, easements, and zoning compliance
Manage contract deadlines, contingencies, escrow tracking, and document follow-up
Maintain organized legal records for active projects, settlements, and land transactions
Collaborate with outside counsel and internal leadership on legal compliance and risk management
Research local/state real estate laws and regulations as they relate to land use and residential construction
Assist with HOA documents, development agreements, and post-closing filings
What You Bring
3+ years of experience as a Paralegal, ideally in new home construction, real estate law, or land development
Solid knowledge of Delaware real estate and construction law
Excellent attention to detail with strong document drafting and proofreading skills
Experience working with contracts, closings, permits, and titles
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document systems
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required if equivalent experience is present
