Responsible for originating and processing mortgage loan applications, providing expert advice to clients, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements for United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd.
Job Responsibilities\*\*
\* Advise prospective clients on suitable mortgage products, including housing loans, refinancing options, and bridging loans, based on their financial needs and eligibility.
\* Conduct thorough credit assessments and financial analysis of applicants, including income verification, debt servicing ratio calculation, and property valuation.
\* Prepare and process mortgage loan applications accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and submitted in a timely manner.
\* Liaise with internal departments (e.g., credit, legal, operations) and external parties (e.g., valuers, lawyers, real estate agents) to facilitate smooth loan processing and disbursement.
\* Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and addressing inquiries throughout the loan application process and beyond.
\* Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes pertaining to mortgage products and housing policies in Malaysia.
\* Achieve sales targets and contribute to the bank's overall mortgage portfolio growth.
\* Ensure strict adherence to UOB's internal policies, credit guidelines, and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations.
Job Qualifications\*\*
\* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
\* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mortgage sales or loan origination within a financial institution, preferably in Malaysia.
\* Strong understanding of mortgage products, credit assessment principles, and property market dynamics in Malaysia.
\* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
\* Proven ability to build rapport with clients and achieve sales targets.
\* Meticulous with strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
\* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
\* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
