Community Engagement & Outreach Coordinator Part-Time (15–20 hours/week) | $18–$20/hour | Non-Exempt Reports to: CEO

Location: On-Site / Community-Based – Ozaukee County

Position Overview The Community Engagement & Outreach Coordinator supports the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center’s external relationships and community presence. This role focuses on agency engagement, Volunteer Ozaukee growth, Baby Bank outreach, and collaborative programming.

This is a relationship-focused, part‑time role designed for someone who enjoys connecting with nonprofits, businesses, and community partners to strengthen collaboration and visibility.

Schedule 15–20 hours per week.

Core hours for this position will occur during the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center’s open office hours:

Monday–Thursday: 9:00am–4:00pm

Friday: 9:00am–12:00pm

Schedule may be flexible within those hours by mutual agreement.

Occasional evening or weekend availability is required for events, outreach activities, and community meetings.

Key Responsibilities Membership & Agency Engagement

Support recruitment of new tenant and non-tenant member agencies

Maintain relationships with existing member agencies

Engagement Committee coordination and follow-up

Identify opportunities to strengthen collaboration across agencies

Recruit agencies to post volunteer opportunities

Promote Volunteer Ozaukee within the nonprofit and business community

Build relationships with local businesses to expand corporate and group volunteering

Monitor engagement trends and identify growth opportunities

Help identify topics, speakers, and partners for agency-focused events

Partner with the Events & Space Coordinator on logistics and execution

Encourage cross-agency participation and networking

Build and maintain relationships with referral partners (WIC, clinics, schools, agencies)

Coordinate community-based Baby Bank drives and partnerships

Work with Campus Operations to ensure outreach aligns with internal capacity

Fund Development & Cross-Team Collaboration

Identify potential sponsorship or partnership leads through community relationships

Make warm introductions to the Fund Development Director when appropriate

Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to promote programs and initiatives

Coordinate with Campus Operations to ensure outreach efforts are sustainable

All-Staff Event Support All staff support major events including Illuminate Ozaukee, Impact Awards, and other fundraising initiatives. Event support may include preparation, day‑of assistance, and follow‑up. Some evening or weekend support is required during event periods.

Qualifications

2+ years experience in nonprofit, community outreach, or relationship-based roles preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable representing an organization in community settings

Organized with strong follow-through

Able to work independently in a small, collaborative team environment

Reliable transportation for local meetings and outreach
