As a recruiter representing a growing and well-established multifamily property ownership group in the Stamford area, I am seeking an experienced and driven Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily and mixed-use communities. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, understands multifamily and mixed‑use operations, and takes pride in maintaining strong occupancy, resident satisfaction, and financial performance.
Position Overview The Property Manager will be responsible for the overall operational, financial, and physical performance of multiple multifamily and mixed‑use properties. The ideal candidate must be comfortable traveling between properties and commuting regularly to the office for meetings, reporting, and team coordination.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of assigned multifamily and/or mixed‑use properties
Lead and supervise on‑site leasing, maintenance, and administrative staff
Maintain high occupancy levels through effective leasing and marketing strategies
Manage rent collections, delinquencies, and resident communications
Prepare and manage operating budgets and monitor financial performance
Coordinate property maintenance, capital improvements, and vendor relationships
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal housing regulations
Conduct regular property inspections to maintain curb appeal and asset value
Provide consistent reporting to ownership and attend meetings
Qualifications
3+ years of property management experience
Strong understanding of property financials, budgeting, and reporting
Experience managing multiple properties or a mid‑to‑large portfolio
Knowledge of Connecticut landlord‑tenant laws and fair housing regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills
Proficiency in property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage, or similar)
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
Ability to commute to the Hartford office on a regular basis
