Director, Publisher Partnerships, Mid Market Department: Strategic Accounts Development

About the Role As the Director, Publisher Partnerships, Mid Market, you will be responsible for developing and growing partnerships with our Preferred Publishers across Omni channels — including CTV, video, display, web, and mobile app — to maximize their programmatic revenue opportunity.

You will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to Publisher stakeholders, providing expert guidance on inventory monetization, omni-channel strategy, industry trends, and incremental growth opportunities across all formats.

In this role, you will carry quarterly top-line revenue targets and be accountable for ensuring PubMatic consistently exceeds Publisher expectations while protecting their brand. Through regular business reviews, data-driven performance analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and industry engagement, you will be seen as a programmatic authority who drives measurable results.

You will report into the VP of Customer Success.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of high-spend and high-potential Mid Market supply partners across Omni channels, with a deep understanding of each partner's business, growth drivers, and risk profile

Build and execute multi-quarter account plans that drive revenue growth and expand PubMatic's footprint across all formats — CTV, video, display, web, and mobile app

Leverage strong analytical skills and programmatic expertise to shape publisher monetization strategy and champion a "programmatic-first" mindset

Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets while delivering an exceptional partner experience

Develop fluency in the technical aspects of ad serving and SSP functionality across Omni formats to credibly consult publishers on product and platform capabilities

Partner with publishers on short- and long-term strategic goals, and mobilize internal teams to advance those initiatives

Facilitate demand generation by partnering with internal and external buy-side teams — including DSPs, agencies, and brand direct — to connect supply with the right demand

Collaborate with the VP, Customer Success on long-term Omni strategy across the Mid Market publisher portfolio

Expand access to new inventory from existing clients and identify new partnership opportunities

Work cross-functionally with specialists, engineers, and product teams to build business plans with clear goals, strategies, and success metrics

Engage with emerging technologies and bring creative, forward-thinking solutions to clients

Proactively mentor peers to elevate team skills and contribute to overall team performance

Who You Are

Bachelor's degree required

5–8 years of experience in a client-facing role, such as publisher partnerships, customer success, or strategic consulting within ad tech

Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem across Omni channels — including CTV, video, display, web, and mobile app

Experience working with or for publishers in a programmatic capacity, with demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth

Solid knowledge of RTB, PMP, and header bidding/wrapper solutions across formats

Familiarity with various ad serving platforms and ad formats across the Omni landscape

Understanding of buy-side dynamics and buying patterns in a programmatic environment

Experience with alternative integrations such as oRTB is a plus

Proven ability to manage multiple strategic accounts and priorities simultaneously

Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills

Experience working with high growth clients. Proven success building relationships with and influencing the perspective of decision makers

Extremely proactive and biased towards taking action

Creative, independent problem solver, with proven ability to reason through a large, ambiguous problem

Strong process management and analytical skills, making it easy to juggle multiple client needs and projects

Presentation skills a must for quarterly business reviews with key clients

Can quickly master nuances of a complex industry with many moving pieces and constant change

Interest in working against an assigned quota and driving sustainable growth

An engaged team player with strong interpersonal skills who knows how to have fun while achieving results

Compensation Disclosure In accordance with applicable law, the below salary rang e provided is PubMatic’s reasonable estimate of the total compensation for this role. New hires and current team members are typically compensated toward the middle of our pay range. The actual amount may vary, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skill s and abilities. In addition to salary PubMatic also offers a bonus, restricted stock units, and a competitive benefits package.
