Location: Austin, TX (Downtown HQ) – Full‑time. Compensation: $95,000 – $175,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience) + equity + premium benefits.
At Files.com, designers build, not just hand off mockups. You’ll bring ideas to life in React, JSX, and CSS and ship them directly into production. We’re an engineering‑first company with a CEO who codes, and a marketing team that matches that ethos. Design here is a system, a growth engine, and a core driver of how we scale.
What makes this role different
Design that drives growth
– Every campaign, page, and asset is directly tied to pipeline and measured against real outcomes.
Full‑funnel impact
– Work spans websites, ads, social, events, collateral, and more – shaping the entire journey from first impression to lasting customer experience.
⚙️
Engineering‑first execution
– Design does not stop in Figma; you ship real work in React, Next.js, and CSS.
✨
High bar for taste + effectiveness
– Clean, disciplined design that converts, not chasing trends.
System builders, not stylists
– Architect reusable systems, libraries, and standards that scale campaigns.
Collaborative and cross‑functional
– Partner closely with Growth, Product Marketing, Content, and Sales.
Impact at scale
– Our campaigns reach hundreds of thousands of professionals annually.
What you’ll actually do
Own end‑to‑end design assets : from concept to execution – landing pages, campaigns, ads, email templates, social graphics, and trade‑show experiences.
Implement in code : write JSX and advanced CSS directly in React branches to build components and ship improvements live.
Design for growth : translate marketing objectives into creative that drives measurable results – lead generation, conversion, brand impact.
Iterate rapidly : use A/B testing, analytics, and feedback to refine design continuously.
Build scalable systems : develop reusable design systems, component libraries, and brand standards.
Collaborate closely : team daily with marketing and sales leadership in Austin.
Proactive ownership : identify opportunities to elevate consistency, conversion, and design quality before anyone asks.
What success looks like
Landing pages and campaigns don’t just look good – they convert.
Design systems you create are reused across the team, making everyone faster.
Internal stakeholders consistently describe your work as clear, modern, and effective.
External audiences – thousands of IT professionals – encounter Files.com as a brand that looks as sharp as it performs.
You’re recognized as the person who bridges design and engineering and delivers creative that actually ships.

We judge design in the details. Bring a portfolio that shows visual polish, system‑level consistency, and the ability to turn complex objectives into clear, persuasive visuals. We want proof you can design for growth and ship it live.
Application If your portfolio makes us stop, look twice, and think “this person has both taste and technical execution,” you’re already halfway there.
Bottom line : This isn’t a “make it pretty” role. It’s a Marketing Designer & Developer where your creativity ships in code, your designs drive measurable growth, and your craft defines how the world experiences Files.com.
PUBLIC BURDEN STATEMENT: According to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, no persons are required to respond to a collection of information unless such collection displays a valid OMB control number. This survey should take about 5 minutes to complete.
